When you create an account and use Hisaab Pro, you provide us with the following information necessary for the app to function:

To keep the app stable, secure, and continuously improving, we automatically collect limited technical information:

• Device information (model, OS version) — for app stability and support
• App usage and crash logs — for debugging and improving reliability
• Authentication tokens — to keep you securely signed in across sessions

1.3 Information We Do Not Collect

We do not access your contacts, SMS inbox, call logs, or location unless a specific feature explicitly requests that permission with your consent. We do not sell your personal data to third parties — not now, not ever. Your business hisaab is yours alone.

02 How We Use Your Information

We use the information we collect strictly to operate, secure, and improve Hisaab Pro for you. Specifically:

• To create and authenticate your account (phone number + OTP)
• To store and sync your ledger and transaction data securely across your devices
• To generate PDF invoices and statements that you choose to download or share
• To provide customer support when you contact us with a question or issue
• To improve app performance, fix bugs, and develop new features based on aggregate usage patterns

03 Third-Party Services

Hisaab Pro uses the following trusted third-party service providers to operate reliably and securely. Each provider processes data on our behalf under their own privacy and security policies:

04 Data Storage & Security

We take the security of your business data seriously and follow industry best practices to protect it:

• Your data is stored on Google Firebase servers with industry-standard encryption in transit and at rest.
• Access to your ledger data is restricted to your authenticated account only — no one at Hisaab Pro can read your private business transactions.
• We follow reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect your data. However, no method of transmission or storage over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

You can further protect your account by enabling PIN lock and biometric authentication inside the app, so that even someone with your phone cannot open your hisaab without your consent.

05 Data Retention & Account Deletion

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. You can permanently delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App via Settings → Delete Account. This action:

• Requires re-authentication for security, so no one else can delete your data without verifying their identity
• Permanently and irreversibly deletes your ledger data from our database
• Removes your authentication record from Firebase

Some information may be retained for a limited period where required to comply with legal, tax, or regulatory obligations under Indian law.

06 Your Rights

You have the right to be in control of your data. Specifically, you can:

• Access the personal data we hold about you — it's all visible inside the app
• Correct inaccurate data within the App at any time
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data
• Withdraw consent for optional permissions at any time via your device Settings
• Export your ledger data using the in-app backup and export options

07 Children's Privacy

Hisaab Pro is intended for business and commercial use by adults. We do not knowingly collect data from children under 18 years of age. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete that information from our systems.

08 International Users

Hisaab Pro is primarily designed for users in India. However, because our service providers (such as Google Firebase) operate global infrastructure, your data may be processed on servers located outside India. By using Hisaab Pro, you consent to this transfer of data in accordance with this Privacy Policy and applicable Indian data protection laws.

09 Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we do, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page. For significant changes, we may also notify you through the App or via SMS/email. Continued use of the App after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.

01 Description of Service

Hisaab Pro is a business ledger and accounting tool that allows users to record customers, transactions, payments, and generate statements or invoices for personal or business bookkeeping purposes. The App is designed as a modern digital replacement for the traditional paper bahi khata, with additional features including cloud sync, multi-business profiles, payment reminders via WhatsApp/SMS, PDF invoice generation, and analytics dashboards.

The App is intended for record-keeping purposes only and does not constitute a banking, payment processing, or financial advisory service. Hisaab Pro does not move money, hold deposits, or process actual financial transactions — it only records entries that you make manually.

02 Eligibility

You must be at least 18 years old, or the age of legal majority in your jurisdiction, and capable of forming a binding contract to use this App. By using Hisaab Pro, you represent and warrant that you meet these eligibility requirements.

If you are using the App on behalf of a business, you further represent that you have the authority to bind that business to these Terms.

03 Account Registration

To use Hisaab Pro, you must register an account. When you do:

• You must register using a valid phone number (or Google/Email where available) and verify it via OTP
• You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account, OTP, PIN, and any authentication credentials
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account, whether or not you authorized it
• You agree to provide accurate information during registration and to keep it updated
• You must not share your account credentials with others or create an account for someone else without their consent

04 User Responsibilities

You agree that you will use Hisaab Pro responsibly and lawfully. Specifically, you agree that you will:

• Use the App only for lawful bookkeeping and business record-keeping purposes
• Not use the App to store or process illegal transactions, fraudulent records, or proceeds of any unlawful activity
• Not attempt to reverse-engineer, decompile, hack, or otherwise interfere with the App's functioning or security
• Not misuse the App to harass, defraud, or harm any third party, including customers listed in your ledger
• Not use the WhatsApp/SMS reminder feature to spam, threaten, or send unsolicited messages to people who have not consented to be your customers
• Not attempt to access another user's account, data, or information

05 Your Data & Ledger Content

You retain full ownership of the business and ledger data you enter into the App. We do not claim any ownership rights over your customer information, transaction records, or business insights.

• You are solely responsible for the accuracy of the financial records, customer information, and transactions you enter
• You are responsible for obtaining consent from your customers before storing their phone numbers and sending them reminders
• Hisaab Pro is a record-keeping tool only and does not constitute financial, tax, accounting, or legal advice
• You should consult a qualified professional (such as a Chartered Accountant) for compliance with applicable tax and business laws, including GST filing, income tax, and any other regulatory obligations
• You are responsible for regularly backing up your data using the in-app backup and export options

06 Third-Party Services

The App relies on third-party infrastructure to deliver its services, including:

• Google Firebase — for phone number OTP authentication and cloud database storage
• Google Cloud Platform — for hosting and infrastructure
• WhatsApp — for the payment reminder sharing feature (via Android share sheet)
• Google Drive — for optional cloud backup export (when you choose to enable it)

Your use of the App is also subject to the availability and terms of these underlying services, which are outside our direct control. We are not responsible for any outage, data loss, or service interruption caused by these third-party providers.

07 Account Deletion

You may delete your account and all associated data at any time from within the App via Settings → Delete Account. This action requires re-authentication for your security.

Once deleted, this action is permanent and irreversible — your ledger data cannot be recovered by us or anyone else. Please export a backup before deletion if you wish to retain your records.

08 Intellectual Property

The App, including its design, branding, logo, user interface, and underlying software code, is the property of Kamran Farooqui / zentroxstudios and is protected by applicable intellectual property laws in India and internationally.

You may not copy, modify, distribute, sell, rent, lease, lend, or create derivative works from the App without our prior written permission. The "Hisaab Pro" name, logo, and tagline "Ek App, Pura Hisaab" are our trademarks and may not be used without permission.

You retain all intellectual property rights in the ledger data and content you create using the App.

09 Disclaimer of Warranties

The App is provided "as is" and "as available" without warranties of any kind, whether express or implied, including but not limited to implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

We do not guarantee that:

• The App will be uninterrupted, error-free, or completely free of bugs
• Your data will never be lost, despite our best efforts with backups and cloud sync
• The App will meet your specific business or accounting requirements
• Third-party services (Google Firebase, WhatsApp, etc.) will always be available

You are strongly encouraged to periodically export and back up your important records to local storage or Google Drive. We are not liable for any data loss resulting from device failure, account deletion, or third-party service disruptions.

10 Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, including but not limited to:

• Loss of data, revenue, profits, or business opportunities
• Damage to your device or any software installed on it
• Business interruption or loss of customer goodwill
• Any inability to recover outstanding payments from your customers

Our total liability for any claim arising from your use of the App shall not exceed the amount you have paid us in the preceding 12 months, or ₹500 (whichever is lower). This limitation applies even if we have been advised of the possibility of such damages.

11 Termination

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your access to the App at any time, with or without notice, if:

• You violate these Terms or misuse the service
• You use the App for any unlawful or fraudulent activity
• Your account remains inactive for an extended period (more than 24 months)
• We are required to do so by law or court order

Upon termination, your right to use the App ceases immediately. We may delete your account and data after a reasonable grace period. You may also terminate your account at any time by deleting it from within the App.

12 Changes to the App or Terms

We may update or modify the App, including its features, pricing, and design, at any time without prior notice. We may also update these Terms from time to time to reflect changes in the App, technology, or legal requirements.

When we make material changes, we will revise the "Last updated" date at the top of this page and, where appropriate, notify you through the App or via SMS/email. Continued use of the App after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms. If you do not agree to the updated Terms, you should stop using the App and delete your account.

13 Governing Law

These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the Republic of India, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes, claims, or controversies arising out of or relating to these Terms or the App shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Lucknow, India.

Before initiating any legal proceedings, we encourage both parties to attempt to resolve the dispute amicably through good-faith discussions or mediation.
